Brand New in June 2005!
"Proximity and Style", as one guest put it!
The Army Navy Clubhouse is a seven bedroom (5 Kings, 1 Queen, and one bedroom with two pyramid bunkbed sets) and six full and one half bathroom home. It comfortably sleeps 16.
Check in is Saturday after 4:00 PM and check out no later than 10:00 AM the following Saturday. One pet, no larger than a small dog, is welcomed for a very small additional fee. Smoking is welcomed outside of the home. To ensure you enjoy your stay completely, all rentals are professionally managed by Village Realty, www.villagrealtyobx.com.

The home sits near the entrance to The Currituck Club, at the intersection of Hunt Club Drive and Currituck Clubhouse Drive. The 2 car garage is on the right hand side of the top picture. What we call the "Coffee Deck" off the kitchen on the top floor is a great place to sip a drink and watch the world go by. The 10th tee box is in front of the home and the 18th Green is behind it, so the home is perfectly situated for walking to the clubhouse a couple hundred yards away and for swinging by to drop off the clubs before returning the carts and visiting the 19th Hole, Bunkers Grill. There is plenty of parking in the garage and driveway, though you're probably going to block some cars in and will need to factor that into your parking plan.

The gourmet kitchen has a five burner glass on gas sealed cooktop, a double oven, two dishwashers, side-by-side refridgerator with ice maker, wine cooler, two sinks, microwave, and breakfast bar.

This dining table is to the right of the picture of the kitchen (above) and directly behind the leather couch in the Great Room. We really wanted an open floor plan on the top floor so we could all be together without being on top of one another. There is another dining table (not pictured) to the left of the kitchen on the way to the Coffee Deck. So between the two tables and the chairs at the kitchen island, there is plenty of seating for everyone.

Here you see the great room and some of the dining table mentioned above (lower left). We've added a nice large mirror over the fireplace since this picture was taken. The top deck on the back side of the home is visible on the left. Underneath the television is a stereo system that allows you to pump music to the outside speakers as well as your choice of audio inputs inside.

These two hammocks on the back, mid-level deck overlooking the pool are one of our most favorite amenities. Reading, napping, or working on the tan is what they were built for and what we encourage every guest to do. All decks are connected by a stairway (seen in this picture) that allows easy tranisiton from one floor to the next without tracking sand or water through the house or disturbing those inside.

The screened in porch to the left leads into the recreation room and provides a cool, guaranteed bug free haven should the little critters decide to visit you on your vacation. The hot tub awaits you and your guest and it and the pool are serviced before and during your visit. The pool is reached through a self-locking gate on the right side of the picture.

Here's the solar heated pool, 14' X 32'. We know it's not the greatest in the world, but it's private (as is evidenced by the trees in the background that completely surround the back side of our home), it's clean, and is great for a cool dip with those most dear.

Finally, the recreation room. The cabinet you see holds the TV and other electronics, the door on the right hand side goes to the garage, and the door on the left leads to the laundry room and a door that leads outside to the pool area, driveway, and outdoor shower. The air hockey and foosball should provide some fun times during your stay. What you don't see is the full bathroom behind the camera that is accessed from the recreation room and also leads to the bunk bed room. A hallway just to the right of this pictures leads to the full wet bar and refridgerator and stairs leading up to the middle level.
